Starting several years ago they began adding winglets to their 757 and 767's. Delta is also installing winglets on LAN 767-300 aircraft. The way fuel prices are going up, the decision to install them will pay off.

291 viewsType: Boeing 757-200Registration: N557NWAirport: MSPCity: MinneapolisState: MinnesotaCountry: USADate Taken: 2009First flight June 28, 2002. Now becoming a regular sight is an ex. Northwest 757 now in the new merger airline colors of Delta. Note the Northwest Airlink baggage cart with a Delta sticker applied. I've recently discovered that the winglets are painted slightly different than the original Delta 757 winglet aircraft. Looks like the blue doesn't come all the way down to the wing as in the Delta birds.

This was spotted about 10pm just after being painted in the new Delta livery. A rare shot because of the fact that the winglets were installed before it went into service with Delta.
