Trucking along with 3,400 gallons of unleaded gasoline at 6,500 feet AGL as we pass mountain peaks of up to 5,000 feet. Temperature at our departure from Fairbanks was about 60 degrees Fahrenheit but our destination of Shungnak 1.5 hours Northwest was reading 43 degrees.

Highlight of a beautiful day in the last frontier. This DC-6 named "Good Grief" was aquired from Northern Air Cargo and is the only Everts with the white upper fuselage and a white tail which is what NAC used. I call it a hybrid scheme.
